Chemist by day, (not the best) gamer by night
Hello! I'm Jonathan, a final-year Chemistry Undergraduate studying at the National University of Singapore.
I'm also enrolled in the NUS College.
I've been fascinated by the utility of chemistry since secondary school,
and my passion to learn and teach chemistry has been growing ever since!
I've done modules in a variety of domains, ranging from transition metals to sustainable and green chemistry.
As part of my Honours Project in Chemistry, I am currently exploring the chemistry of N-heterocylic olefins.
I'm probably not the best in the lab (I've broken a few glasswares oops) but I always strive to perform tasks meticulously.
My biggest university achievement till-date would be publishing my undergraduate pedagogical research to the Journal of Chemical Education!
When I'm not in the lab, you'll probably find me gaming with friends, playing the piano, or watching anime.
The latter also inspired me to begin learning Japanese, and I hope I can speak it fluently one day!
On the weekends, I also work part-time as a barista, although I'm still struggling to produce beautiful
latte art... I'm working on it!
The rest of my free time tends to be catered towards rhythm cycling and bouldering!
